Map Your Gym

For hotels & resorts

Make your fitness suite a reason to book

For a lot of travellers the gym decides the hotel — and most of the time they cannot see what is in yours until they have already checked in. Map Your Gym puts your fitness suite in front of them beforehand, and guides them round it once they arrive.

What you’re dealing with

Nobody can see your gym before they book

A fitness suite is one of the things regular trainers check before choosing a hotel, and it is usually represented by one wide-angle photo and the word “gym”. There is no way to tell whether it has a squat rack or a single treadmill until it is too late to choose differently.

Guests arrive with no idea what anything is

A hotel gym gets first-time users almost exclusively. Your regulars are one night old. Equipment that a member would learn over weeks has to be understood in a single visit, usually before breakfast.

There is nobody to ask

Fitness suites are rarely staffed, and the front desk cannot talk someone through a cable machine over the phone. The result is guests using a fraction of the room, or not using it at all.

The gym shows up in reviews either way

It is one of the most commented-on facilities in guest feedback relative to how little floor space it occupies. A small, well-explained gym reviews better than a large, baffling one.

What changes

  • Listed where people look for somewhere to train

Your fitness suite appears in the Map Your Gym app with its floor plan and equipment list, so a traveller working out where to stay can see exactly what they would be training with. A gym that can be inspected is a gym that can be chosen.

  • An interactive map of that room

Built from your actual floor plan, so a guest can see what is in the suite before they come down — and find it once they are there.

  • A demo for every machine

Tap any piece of equipment for a video showing how to use it, with coaching cues and safety notes. The guidance a member would get from staff, available at five in the morning.

  • Workouts built around what you actually have

Guests get sessions designed for your equipment list, not generic routines that assume a squat rack you do not own.

  • Consistent across properties

Each site is mapped individually, but the experience a guest gets is the same whichever of your hotels they are in.

“Our gym is too small to bother”

Small rooms benefit most. When there are eight machines rather than eighty, every one of them matters, and a guest who cannot work out two of them has lost a quarter of your facility.

We survey the site, film the equipment and build the map. Your fitness suite goes on the app, and your guests get the guidance from day one.
