Muscle maps, a points store and a weekly plan

See which muscles a session actually trains, spend the points you have been earning, and pin your workouts to the days you do them. Plus a UK-wide gym finder on the website.

Added

  • A muscle map on every exercise and workout: a body diagram shaded by how hard each muscle is worked, so you can see what a session trains before you start it and what you hit after you finish.
  • A store for your points. Your gym sets the rewards, you redeem them for a code, and you show the code at the desk.
  • Offers from local businesses and from brands we work with, kept separate so you can see at a glance who you are dealing with.
  • A weekly plan: pin any workout to a day of the week and it shows on your home screen. It repeats until you remove it.
  • Transformation photos on coach profiles, so you can see who a coach has helped before you get in touch.
  • A gym finder at mapyourgym.co.uk/find - every gym we know of in the UK, searchable by town, postcode and facilities.

Improved

  • The exercise library now shows what your gym can actually equip, rather than every movement on the platform. Nothing is hidden - anything your gym has not got is labelled as such.
  • Building a workout shows each exercise's category and brand, so two machines with the same name are no longer impossible to tell apart.
  • The gym profile page has been tidied up: one block for the name, address and today's hours, and every section laid out the same way.
  • Equipment brands on a gym's profile, so you can see whose kit is on the floor before you join.
  • Amenities now appear on the floor plan alongside the equipment.
  • The map preview on the home screen is no longer blurred.
  • The workouts tab takes the centre button, which is where your thumb already was.
  • The skill-level filter starts on whatever you told us at sign-up, instead of showing every level by default.
  • Your gym's Wi-Fi password is shown to copy, rather than the app trying to join the network for you.

Fixed

  • Equipment hotspots no longer drift away from where they were placed when you zoom the floor plan.
  • The class timetable no longer reads as empty when classes are scheduled.
  • Opening a workout with no exercises in it no longer crashes the app.
  • The points balance in the store no longer shows a stale number after you redeem something.
  • Panning the floor plan no longer fights the panel it sits in.
  • Videos uploaded in the portal now save against the exercise instead of silently going missing.

The muscle map is the one worth opening the app for. It is drawn from the muscles each exercise works, shaded relative to the hardest-worked muscle in the session - so it reads as balance rather than as a score. A cardio-only session draws no map, because there is nothing honest to shade.

Points have been accumulating since version 2.1.0 with nothing to spend them on. Redeeming now takes points off your balance and leaves your all-time total alone, so spending can never cost you a badge or a place on the leaderboard.
